I’ve observed that a lot of my interactions with my kids’ school has been that of surprises… and not very pleasant ones. Take for example a certain charitable cause sponsored by the school: as the event approached we discovered that even despite our daughter’s participation we would have to buy her a ticker in addition to our tickets. Not very pleasant!
