Holding On to Home While Abroad: Do Such Schools Exist? 🌍

One of the greatest concerns for parents raising children outside Kenya—or anywhere in the African diaspora—is the fear that their children will lose touch with their cultural roots. As they grow fluent in new languages, adopt new customs, and thrive in different school systems, their connection to home can quietly fade.

But does it have to? Are there Kenyan or African community schools abroad—whether weekend programs, cultural centres, language classes, or full-fledged institutions—that are designed to help children stay connected to language, identity, values, and history?
